The Beacon: 2025 02/16

Lately, I've been reminded how vulnerable I am when feeling wounded. Even when I see it coming, I don't always have the strength to fight off an attack. The enemy knows my weak spots. He whispers lies, encouraging me to compare my life to others. The taunts sound familiar: "Your Father loves others more than He loves you." Then come the accusations: "You're a failure. Your faith is weak. You won't make it to the end."

But here's the truth—he's a liar. Deception is his native language, and he'll twist anything to make me doubt God's love and my own worth. I have to remind myself of that over and over again.

So, I go back to what I know is true. I write it down. I say it out loud. I cling to it, even when my heart feels shaky and uncertain. God's promises aren't based on my performance or how well I hold it together. His promises are solid. Every single one is "yes" and "amen" in Christ.

Even when I don't feel victorious, I remind myself that the victory has already been won. Jesus declared it finished on the cross. The battle is His, not mine. And when I'm too tired to keep going, I'm learning to step back and rest. That rest is part of the rescue.

I'm not in competition with anyone. God has marked out my path and promised to lead me all the way home.

So, for now, I'll stand quietly before the Lord, trusting in His timing and rescue. He is faithful. He is good.

"For salvation comes from Him alone." —Psalm 62:1 (TLB)
